This is the last week of blogs. All of the blogs this week are extra credit. Make sure to answer the questions properly (one paragraph is 4-6 coherent sentences).
Describe your favorite moment of the semester, both in English 122 and out. I want one paragraph about the best moment in English 122, in your opinion, and the best moment this semester in the rest of your classes/your social life. Again, I want two paragraphs.
My favorite moment in ENG 122 would have to be when we did group arguments on the random subjects. It was a lot of fun in class, and I liked being able to see how different people argued. Each group used comedy to enhance their arguments and being able to take a break from always being serious was great. Overall, I really liked the people that were in the class. I picked a good spot to sit because there was never a dull moment.
ReplyDeleteThis semester so far as been going pretty well. I really liked meeting new people and hanging out with my roommates and suite mates. Every time I have spent with the three of them would have to be my favorite. I think it would be nearly impossible for me to narrow it down to a single one. I love being able to go into there room at a random time and just talk. It's a good feeling knowing that someone you barely know is always there when you need them.
My favorite moment of English 122 was the last day when we got to argue over the Lion King and Aladdin. For the first time all semester I felt comfortable to talk in front of the class and so I choose to do some of the speaking for my group. To me being able to stand in front of a group I was once terrified of and now felt relaxed was the best moment of the class.
ReplyDeleteMy best moment at college so far was when my roommate and me were re-arranging our room a bag of sugar spilt all over the place. Eager to finish moving everything we forgot and crushed it in everywhere. All the vaccuums were rented out so it stayed on out floor for a few days and everyone thought it was crack. It was really funny.
I think my favorite moment in English class was the last class, where we discussed Batman vs. Superman and The Lion King vs. Aladdin. This was the best day because it was fun to talk about the different super heroes. Also it was a great moment because everyone was energized and thought it was extremely fun. It was a good English class moment because the entire class everyone was laughing. It was a new experience, of something that I had ever done in an English class and it was a bunch of fun. I like super heroes so discusses it was really fun.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite experience at college was when my friends made a little homemade Thanksgiving dinner a few days before Thanksgiving break. My friends made all different types of food, and we sat down and ate. It was a lot of fun, and my friends and I always have awesome and memorable moments together. There have been a lot of wonderful moments. My friends really make college better they can always make me laugh which is the best moments.
My favorite moment in English 122 was the last day of class, when we argued for our assigned superhero, and against another superhero. Everyone was so relaxed in the class, that everyone's real personality shined. It was fun for everyone, and everyone participated with great ideas. Although, there were four separate groups, it felt like we all belonged to one team. I give it two thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteMy best moment of the semester, actually began two to three weeks ago. After not being in school for three decades, and struggling to learn once again, I realize learning had become fun, and was not hard anymore. I did not feel like I was drowning anymore. In fact, quite the contrary, I now had clarity. While the beginning of the semester was terrifying, and I felt like I would fail, it was a relief, as well as a joy, to know that I can succeed.
My favorite moment in this English 122 class was when I got my reflection essay back with the grade that I recieved. Not only was it important because it was the first grade I had gotten for the semester, but also because I wrote about a very personal topic. I put my heart into writing that essay and made sure that I told the story of my late friend, Kyle Blakeman, the best way that I could.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have a favorite moment for this class, there is not one specific moment during the semester that I can call my favorite yet. The fact that I'm doing better in my first semester of college than I ever did in any semester while I was in high school is a big deal to me. Now I know what it feels like to feel accomplished and be proud of the work that I have put into my schoolwork. I know when I look at my grades for this semester, that will be my favorite moment.
My favorite moment in English 122 was the last day of class when we argued the random cartoons. My group got to argue about how The Lion King was better than Aladdin and we won. It was enjoyable because it helped us understand the lesson and how an argument essay is composed as well as allowed us to have fun. We found items in the movie that we may not have looked at as a child watching the movie. We were able to engage in the thought process of a well loved childhood memory.
ReplyDeleteThroughout the semester, I established good relationships and had tons of memories. One that has stuck with me was when my roommates and I had an adventure. We went and saw a movie together then went through the Halloween store and tried on ridiculous looking outfits. After we sat in a photo booth and took the most obnoxious pictures that now still remain hanging up in our living room.
My favorite moment in English 122 was the day we discussed the essay about hunger and poverty. This essay was analyzing the article called, "When Handouts Keep Coming" which is written by Mark Winne. This day was my favorite because the class was talkative and did not let this argumentative topic make an issue. I am interested in topics like this one because they are topics that can impact many people and should changed. From this moment in class, I was able to take away that writing about issues should not just be addressed, but a possible solution should be thought out as well.
ReplyDeleteThroughout this first semester at college, I would have to say that my favorite moment was my birthday. On October 5th, I had my bible study group and we carved pumpkins. I truly enjoy the season of fall and carving pumpkins is quite an enjoyable activity that I remember doing many times as a kid. The best part about the night was making pumpkin pie and pumpkin seeds right after carving the pumpkins. I also got surprised by my bible study group with a cake. From that night I realized how great friends are and how much fun it is to shove your face into cake.
My favorite moment this semester was when we got to argue over the disney movies. It was te first time I really got into something because it was a fun topic. Not only that but it was stress free just for fun so you didnt have to worry about messing up. The whole class was involved so you got to joke and laugh with everyone not just the same few kids in your area.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite college moment was my first weekend in college. It was my favorite because my friends and I had no clue as to where anything was so we kind of just wandered around. We probably spent 10 hours the first saturday just walking downtown greeley. Then we came to the conclusion that greeley is the quietest and most boring city in the country. It was just fun to be off somewhere we had never been.
I think my favorite moment in English 122 was when we got to make an argument about random subjects. I got to argue that Batman was better then Superman, which i still believe is true. It was fun because even though it was kind of a way to see how we would do in our argumentative essays it was still fun that it wasn't as serious. It was a fun last class.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment outside of class was the this passes Saturday a couple of friends and I put a streek in our hair. It was a learning experience because the purple dye we bought looked grey in our hair. But it was still fun to do something random and outrageous with my friends right before finals week.
