Week 14.2

In two paragraphs, share what you have learned in this class. Go into detail as to what exactly you learned and how you think you will be able to use it in your future studies. Again, I want two paragraphs and plenty of details. Please don't just list off things you've heard me say in class. What will take from this class and how will you apply it to other classes/other assignments? Did I mention I want two paragraphs?

  1. I have learned alot in this class. First of all I learnede how to improve my writing and how to write better essays. Through the different essays I learned how to not incooperate my personal opinion when it is not needed it was hard, but im much better at it. I was also able to write longer and it was easier the more essays I did. At first it was hard to write long essays and now I can do it easier. I also learned how to correctly do in cite citations something I've never done correctly until this class.
Im going to be able to use the stuff I learned in future classes by using the correct in cite citations. I will also be able to write without including my opinion. I will also be able to write longer essays without struggling as much.

  2. This class has taught me a lot. Overall, I have learned many new things about how to become a better writer. I never knew how to cite my sources correctly--like not needing to add the URL for a website. This class also helped me to write essay that could go passed the minimum rather than barely reaching the minimum on my papers like I used to. I still need to work on making my papers stronger, though, because I always second guess myself and think that my paper is not so well-written.
After being in this class, I will be using my knowledge to correctly format my papers. I am glad that the book we used in class includes MLA format. That way, I could use it as a reference whenever I write a paper in the future. This class was a very beneficial class to me. It also helped that I was able to be in the class this first semester and learning how to write properly since I needed to know how for my other classes.

  3. This class has taught me a lot. Overall I have learned many new things about being a writer and I also learned about many different types of essays there are and how they are used in the world. I have also learned how to do the in paper citations becasue I never learned about it in high school. I still need to try and make my papers filled with more detail.
After being in this class it has taught me how to make my papers a lot stronger. It has also taught me how to use my refrences well in the feature. Overall this is a beneficial class for me. The main thing i liked about class was that I think it totally prepared me for my classes in the feature.

  4. This semester I have learned many new things in English. At the beginning of the year, I looked at English as boring and useless. Throughout the semester, I learned about the benefits of knowing how to write well and understanding what the text is saying. I am now able to write essays to a better extent.
Each time I think about writing an essay, I now go through the list of what will be graded on and how to improve me essay. I have learned that actually revising is helpful so that others can understand the main point I am trying to make. It will not do to write an essay the night before but proper care needs to be taken to write a good essay with a well developed thesis. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable and beneficial class for me.

  5. This semester in English I have learned many things that will help me in my future. English has never been my favorite subject, yet I have enjoyed my first semester of English class. One of weaknesses before coming to this class was annotating texts. From this class, I have learned the benefits of annotating what I read and how to take each text step by step to get something out of it. By focusing on one aspect of the text, I am able to understand it better. Another thing I will take away from this class is that reading over what I write out loud can help me find many of my mistakes. Reading out loud allows me to realize when something does not make sense or when punctuation should be included.

This class has taught me to find what motivates me. My motivations may change from one class to another, but finding this something is crucial. Each class has its own importance to me and the subjects that I am learning is a variety of strengths and weaknesses. Yet each person has motivations in life that help them achieve their goals and so each thing someone does in life should have a purpose. Allowing myself to grasp the information being taught to me and use it towards life helps me to understand what motivates me to want to try in each class.
