Welcome to Eng 122. I'm sure you're pretty nervous about the class. That's only natural. For this week's post, just introduce yourself with the basics.
My name is Kyndra. I am a freshmen and i am majoring in criminal justice. I enjoy staying active. I took taekwondo for three and a half years and got my black belt, and while in highschool I was in varsity cheerleading and tennis all four years. I think i am a pretty good writer when it comes to topics I like and can choose myself usually.
My name is Jenna. I am a freshman and am majoring in elementary education. I like to be outdoors, watch movies, and just have as much fun as possible. In high school I tried many sports I did track freshman year which didn't work out, and than I got into cheerleading. I did cheerleading for two and a half years, and than quit and joined the swim team. My senior year I did cross country and swim team. I am a decent writer, but I am better when I can choose the topic.
Hello, my name is Bri. I am a freshmen and I'm an Elementary Ed major with an emphasis in History. I love hanging with friends, playing sports and music is my life. I'm always having fun no matter what and I smile 24/7. When I can choose my topics I feel that I am a pretty strong writer but I struggle greatly with topics that I have no interest in.
My name is Kalli Burkhart. This year I am a freshman and my major is in elementary education. I am a very active person, I love to be outside. During the summer my favorite hobby is wake boarding, and during the winter I love to go skiing. Through out high school I was a varsity cheerleader which took up most of my time. I think that when writing it takes me a while to come up with a topic, but when I find one I am interested in I am able to really enjoy writing.
My name is Rebecca and I am a freshman this year. I am majoring in elementary ed with an emphasis in esl. I really enjoy playing soccer. I've been playing for about 13 years and hope to soon join an intermural team. I like writing but I could still use help with some aspects of it. I do think that I am good when I like what I'm talking about and know what I'm saying.
My name is Lanae! I am a freshman this year. My major is Elementary Education. I was a varsity cheerleader in high school. I love being outdoors and exploring new things. In the winter time I enjoy going snowboarding. When it comes to writing, in order to enjoy it, I have to be interested in the topic I choose. I can be a good writer if its something I have a lot to say about.
My name is Jacob Gerding and I am 1st year college student. My major is Pre-nursing. My hobbies are playing video games, reading a good book sometimes the good book. I also enjoy reading manga and watching anime if you want to consider those as a hobbie. I have never really enjoyed writing since I have a learning disability that can make writing difficult for me.
My name is McKayla, I am a freshman majoring in elementry education, I ski, swim and read. My thoughts on writing are that it can be a lot of fun if I love what I'm writing about, but it can otherwise be a struggle.
Hello my name is Samantha Im a freshmen and my major is elementary teacher. Im unsure what my emphasis will be, I need to find what im good at and enjoy first. I run track for UNC and while i was in high school i did volleyball and basketball so sports are my life! Hi, my name is Cailey Perlas. I am a freshman this year majoring in Special Education. I love kids and have worked at Chuck E. Cheese for almost 2 years--like all jobs, it has its good days and bad days. In my spare time I like hanging out with my friends or having a relaxing day reading a good book. Writing isn't my strength, but I am always trying to work on it. If I have the choice to write about anything, I usually struggle because I tend to require the extra push in order for my thoughts to come.
My name is Katie and I am a freshman this year. I'm majoring in Elementary Education. For fun I like to do anything that involves sports. I played soccer for nine years, tennis for four, and volleyball for three. Although, my all time favorite sport is baseball. I'm the biggest Cubbies and Rockies fan you will ever meet. I'm not much of a writer except for when I'm writing about something that interests me or something that I know. I'm definitely not confident in my writing but I have heard mixed reviews about my writing style from my teachers in high school. I hope this class will help me become more confident with my work.
My name is Kira and I'm a freshman. Currently I am undeclared on my major. I'm interested in Nutrition, so I'm taking a class to see if I'll enjoy it. Who knows what I'll be, I just want to make sure I love what I do with my career and life. My hobbies include playing sports and the piano. I love doing anything that involves being outside. I'm a good writer when it comes to something I am very passionate about. I also like writing about things I don't really know about because along the way I can learn more about the subject.
Hi my name is Kanani. I am a freshmen majoring in Elementary Education. I started dancing hula when I was about three & stopped around five years old. I restarted last year at my friend's halau. I also paddled for my schools paddling team for my junior and senior year. I don't think I'm a very good writer, but I don't think I'm horrible either. :)
My name is Peter Hatcher I am a freshman here at UNC. My major is Special Education. I played baseball in high school and I also coached the Special Ed. soccer and basketball teams and I coached the basketball team to an undefeated season. I love long walks on the beach, very bad parkour, and longboarding.When I write essays I tend to do a good job with finding a ton of information and my papers are filled with it. I really dont like to write a ton but I buckle down and get it done.

In my spare time, I enjoy staying active, reading, and socializing with others. In high school, I was a member of the cheerleading squad and the speech and debate team. I enjoy writing when I feel passionate about a topic; however, I do struggle sometimes finding a topic that I find interesting.
Hi, my name is Hope Breedlove. I am a freshmen and my major is elementary education with a focus in english. My hobbies include reading, shopping, hiking and hanging out with friends. During high school I was involved with many theater productions, my roles ranging from behind the scenes, directing, singing and acting. I enjoy creative writing more than I do essays, but if I have to write an essay I know I will find it easier if I pick a topic I am comfortable with.
The names Tyler Wilcox. I am also a freshman. I plan to major in accounting while minoring in music. Therefore, my hobbies include guitar, drums, bass, trumpet, and maybe some piano too. I had a band, but we dont play anymore, so now i'm solo. I played soccer and basketball in track until i popped my knee out. As far as writing goes, i dont think i'm any special writer, but i've been known to get an A on a paper here and there.

I enjoy riding, training and breeding horses.By next year, I plan to have my Holsteiner stallion,Leonardo PT, approved and standing at stud. Personally, I find writing difficult,since I'm always looking for a better way to say what I mean.

When given a topic that I find interesting I can write about it, but there are times when I have difficulty with writing. Writing is not my favorite thing to do but if I have enough motivation I can do it.

I like to write about things that interest me or else its hard for me to produce work thats meaningful. When given a topic that doesnt apeal i have to think really hard about it.
Hello my name is Jenni Brown and I am a freshman. I am majoring in elementary education and am still deciding on what I want my area of concentration to be. I have many wide ranging hobbies. For example, in high school I played volleyball and gymnastics and was very involved in our outdoor education program. I enjoy being active and love the outdoors. I truly enjoy rock climbing and bowling and in the 8th grade, I was in a youth bowling league and somehow ended up winning a bowling tournament. Which was pretty awesome. I have always had a thrill and talent for baking/cooking. So sometimes instead of doing what I should be doing, I end up baking various things just because it is so fun. This may seem very kid-like and whatnot but since I am not an artist and cannot draw to save my life, I love to color. As you might be able to see, I just have a liking for just about everything. As far as writing goes though, I do not necessarily write in my spare time but I do like to write once i get started. The part that takes me the longest is actually starting. I enjoy how writing allows you to express your feelings, emotions, thoughts, and ideas in many different ways. I also like how writing allows peoples' voices to be heard. So overall, I think writing can be fun.

I love to dance pretty much anywhere and I absolutely adore children. I was a dance teacher at my studio for two years and hope to continue teaching. As far as writing goes, I beleive I haved improved but not to my full potential. I think I still have areas to improve upon.
